Hi I am struggling to upgrade, system gives me error message.

What kind of error message are you getting? We need more details in order to be able to assist.

I click on my profile, then it gives me options to see levels, when i click on upgrade it then gives me the currency converter after that nothing happens.

In order to upgrade, you need to sign up brand new. Please note that your current membership will be cancelled so you may consider to wait until the current membership/payment cycle is close to the end.
